Activent SR

Activent SR consists mainly of Salbutamol, a phenethylamine derivative, which has an effective role in stimulating Beta receptors in air passages to the lungs, which in turn relaxes their smooth muscles. So, Activent SR is used as a bronchodilator for asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and also for the prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm.

 • Indicated for the relief of bronchospasm in obstructive pulmonary
diseases (bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis and emphysema).
• Suitable for patients with co-existing heart disease or hypertension.
• Used in the management of uncomplicated premature labour during
the third trimester of pregnancy following the control or uterine contraction
with parenteral salbutamol.
